When we ingest insoluble fiber, i.e. greens, peels, nuts, seeds, beans, and the skins of grains our bodies will unlock the door to eliminate toxins. The removal of toxins will eradicate overall mucous & sinus conditions, balance the ph in our intestines, unclog our bowels, prevent colon cancer, and greatly improve the condition of our skin. WOW!

Oral Health Part II
Remember that our whole GI system is connected. Taking care of our mouth takes care of our whole body. Again, I will list a few suggestions from the book “Healthy mouth, Healthy body” by Dr. Victor Zeines.
1. Persistence pays off. A disciplined program of oral hygiene that includes brushing at least twice each day pays great oral health dividends. This can include the use of flossing and a water pick, which can reap benefits as well. This works because it massages the gums. Gum massage is beneficial as well.
2. Consider anything that can improve your immune system like vitamins, minerals & herbs.
3. Valuable tools typically include regular visits to your dentist.
4. Eat high fiber foods like vegetables and fruit. Especially your daily apple!
5. Juice fasts & or cleanses assist in removing toxins from the body. When we remove toxins we therefore, improving oral health & hygiene. Other detoxification methods like skin brushing can also aid in removing toxins.
Oral Health Part I
What some of us don’t realize is that oral health and colon health are connected. This one long interconnected tube that runs from our anus to our lips is one long tube! The general health in one area of our Gastro Intestinal (GI) system is all connected. Today I will list a few suggestions from the book “Healthy mouth, Healthy body” by Dr. Victor Zeines, to support clients in their overall GI Health.
What can be done in order to prevent Gum Disease:
Avoid Stress. Stress changes our internal environment. Therefore, these changes are for the worst. Stress can increase harmful bacteria and increase acidity in the body. Acidity and bacteria lend themselves to disease.
Avoid sugars, salt and harmful fats. Pay attention to your body & listen to it. When you do not feel well it may be because what you have eaten may be taking the minerals out of your body. Harmful fats include: partially hydrogenated oils. Sugar has many names the only ones that I eat include stevia & xylitol. Celtic Sea Salt is the only form of salt that I will use for my family & myself. I know that there are a few other types of sea salts but I am not well versed in which ones they are at this time.
Become an educated consumer. The more you know and learn about your own health the more likely you are to implement what you learn. Natural substances can promote healing and prevent disease.
I have been wanting to pass this information along for a while now. After you read the following please let me know if you have any questions.
A simple way to detect low thyroid function:
Purchase a digital or basal thermometer
Before you get out of bed or drink anything
Place thermometer under your armpit for 5 minutes [rectal or oral may be done as well {however, if you experience sinus infections, they raise the oral temperature, then do not take the temperature orally} ]
Record and take the temperature for 5 consecutive days
Normal armpit or oral temperature is 97.8-98.2
Normal rectal temperature is 98.8-99.2
Temperatures below that are suggestive of low thyroid.

White Chia seeds are higher in Omega-3 Fatty Acids than Mexican Chia
White Chia seeds are higher in Protein & water absorption than Mexican Chia
They are also more aesthetically appealing in food preparation
There is controversy that there is any difference between the white or the black Chia seed.
My biggest adversary has at times been my husband. I love him dearly but he expresses in obvious & passive ways that he does not like the fact that I suggest for our daughter to have broccoli for breakfast. Maybe he does not like it because he is the one making breakfast.
Why is he making breakfast? He has great breakfast skills and determination to do so, and I for years had not been able to get up in the morning. (don’t tell him but that is changing) He is making breakfast b’c, he used to make breakfast every morning for his two younger brothers and well that is a another story.
Sometimes when we are changing our diet our body or our family members resist, get mad or just plain don’t like it! This may be obvious in their behaviors, attitude and demeanor.
Maybe they are in the middle of tax season. Maybe they just had a bad day. In the past I could not move through the energy of my significant other resisting my efforts. Today I have become stronger and stronger. A great diet brings me the gift of being grounded and ready to accomplish anything. As I, in spite of all else, make what gives me high energy, fortitude & deep conviction knowing that this works without a doubt. I am moving through it all today.
How does your family make it hard for you to loose weight, change & take care of yourself?
How do you manage your frustrations and walk towards success, regardless of any and all resistance?
I had been suggesting for clients to use magnesium regularly. My partner in Newburgh bought some Cal Mag in the same brand (powder) that I had been using. I bought it and tried it. After taking it a few times I realized that I could not live without it. I had been experiencing a little stress on & off. After using the cal mag all the stress is gone, totally! You can’t loose:)
Successful health…
By consistently carrying out simple tasks you will succeed at health and weight loss. Remember that slow & steady wins the race.
THE FOUNDATION-
The way to build a strong building is to have a properly constructed foundation. The foundation holds up the rest of the building. We use this analogy in constructing a strong and healthy body. This is your building so to speak.
The foundational tools are sleep, deep nourishment (sometimes this is 3 meals daily), and exercise.
Don’t let yourself drop below 7 hours of sleep a night, and get an extra hour when you can. Don’t skip meals, it does not serve your metabolism. Skipping meals generally leads to overeating and poorer choices. And don’t stop your exercise routine: it is vital to maintaining your outlook, energy, and physical body.
Whatever you need to do to support these basics are the key to success. This may include supplements or saying “no” to loved ones.
I support you in whatever that may be. Everyone will be better off in the long run.
EXERCISE-
If you have not exercised in a while please start slow. Once you have begun to exercise interval training is instrumental to achieving successful weight loss.
EMOTIONS-
If there are times when you are sad, angry or lonely, give yourself the time and space to acknowledge those feelings and be present with yourself. We can truly love and accept ourselves in those feelings. Release the energy around the feelings. Then open up to and enjoy the joy, beauty and awe in your life.
LOVE-
Express love and gratitude. Also focus on the positive. Make a written, or mental gratitude list part of your daily ritual.
Do what feels good while remembering that pushing, forcing and straining does not work. If something around you feels helpful, releasing, opening, strengthening, enlivening, and inspiring then do it! Remain open to the flow of what will work in your life easily.
(Other than things that you know are harmful like caffeine, toxic substances, junk food ie: sugar, staying up late & over indulging)
Every moment is a choice.
May you know your body’s own regenerative powers.
Choose cooperation with natures great forces to heal.
May you dare to breathe in the universe, stretching mind, body and soul to reach for love, balance & truth.
Every thought, action or inaction, what we eat and how we handle life in general contributes to our body’s ability to maintain balance.
