In a very short time I believe I have become a committed green smoothie drinker.

I must confess that I don’t generally eat fruits with anything else. I know that for me in order to have efficient digestion and what is typically suggested is to eat fruit alone. I do my best to follow the rules. For some of you new to greens adding fruits may be the best way to start.

In order to have a tasty smoothie I began to add a banana to my green smoothies. However, I noticed that I had felt tired after having them.

Therefore, my green smoothies have just become fruitless, but an exciting green & red. Hahaha. No more fruit in my smoothies for me. I add in ginger, nutmeg, tumeric & maybe a little cinnamon as well.

The fiber in the blended green drinks for me surpass any juiced drink that I have had. (not including wheat grass)

A typical morning includes a blended smoothie like this one: (all veggies are washed)
8 oz water
1 granny smith apple (without core)
7 stalks of collard greens
1/2 bunch of parsley
1 Tbsp spirulina powder
1/2 cucumber
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1″ piece of ginger root
1 garlic clove
1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp tumeric
2 pkts of emergen ‘c’ vit c pkt
L-Glutamine powder
MSM
1Tbsp of pre-soaked white chia seeds in 6 oz water

Often my friends wonder why I am not ever tired. I think doing what I love & drinking my green smoothies have something to do with it. Enjoy! Let me know what you think. I would like to her what works for you.
